It's here. We hope you can make it!
The beautifully done STORIES cafe, based in Oakwood, featured in Volume One. It was great to build a connection with a team so keen to build links with local, independent suppliers and creatives.
In their words:
"Everyone has a story to tell, and ours begins here. From each carefully selected item on our menu, the unique journey our coffee beans make and even the paper we print on, we want to tell you the Stories which we think make our cafe extra-special."
We want to thank Emily for being part of our story and bringing a bit of Scandinavia to Leeds. Last we saw, porridge was appearing on the menu, go get some.
Here are two members of PISIN at our Launch for Volume One.
The guys at PISIN are a collaborative group of painters who explore the challenges as well as the indeterminate nature of the collaborative painting process. Predominantly working on A4, the works are abstract in nature yet often show figurative references. They produce the work by two or more members of the group adding to the painting until they believe it is complete.
We exhibited four of their new works at our show and also featured some of their previous paintings in our journal alongside a bit of info about what they are all about.
They are expecting to do a show in the near future in Leeds, so stay posted.
It will be a visual treat.
Meet George. Luke's friend from Falmouth, great hair, very polite.
He featured in Volume One of our journal, with his piece Supply Chain Analyst.
An artist, designer and agricultural engineer, George creates works ranging from video, sculpture and 'posters'. In our Launch exhibition, George featured a functional metal work; Lame's Journal Stand. Designed and fabricated with our launch in mind, using Polished Mild Steel finished in Jade Oil.
His previous projects have included 'Reeves Corner Display Structure', 'Wandle Park Poster Projects' and 'Turf Project Furniture'. Previous exhibitions include Mass Production at Malt Cross, Nottingham, Sell Out, SIEZE at STCFTHOTS, Leeds, Small porcelain romances at Nottingham Castle.
JOURNAL LAUNCH | VOLUME ONE
This Saturday, we had the launch of our first journal. Over brunch, we introduced Lame's first printed publication and exhibited work from ourselves and the artists we have featured.
Thank you to everyone involved in Volume One and a massive thank you to the people who came down to show their support. If you are interested in any of the creatives featured in the journal come back to check the website as we will be posting more info about each topic featured.
Volume One will be available this Monday in our Shop and also through selected stockists.
Its finally here.

Lame have spent the week working on our Ceramic feature for our First Journal.
We couldn't help but let Olive and Tyrion have their moment in front of our pink backdrops.
Leeds based Artist, Katrina Cowling will feature in Volume One of our journal.
The content will be based on Katrina's latest solo exhibition at STCFTHOTS.
The first journal has recruited a new creative.
Fashion Photographer, Harrison France, submitted some of his shots from Egypt.
Steering away from his usual genre of photography, we've been lucky enough to get a little glimpse at what else he is capable of.
Whilst waiting on Volume One, go check him out.
Lame found some sun in Corfu.
Feel free to flick through our mini online publication, get an idea of what's to come.
Volume One, our first printed journal, isn't too far away.
Our very first edition of Lame is under construction.
Thanks to all the people who have helped so far, you know who you are.
Volume One should be with you by the end of the summer.
